چکیده

Fernández (2019) offers an account of the nature episodic memory that marries two core ideas: (i) role-functionalism about memory, and (ii) self-reflexive mnemonic content. One payoff this view is judgments are immune to error through misidentification. takes reveal something important one’s self-awareness in our first-person conception ourselves. However, once one sees why such way, according proposed account, fact they becomes moot. While technically misidentification, not grounded a way have any interesting epistemological import for subject (in contrast other paradigms judgments), insights self-conception directly derivable from metaphysics content alone.
